Event Review: Angelsounds presents Roger Shah a.k.a Sunlounger @ Club Bling

Anglelsounds presented for the first time in Cyprus, Roger Shah a.k.a Sunlounger @ Club Bling, once again afterTraces crew was there to cover the event for you, and give you in details what was going over the night at Bling.

We arrived 00:30 @ the club with few people over the dancefloor, some others either sitting on the bar, or socializing with friends. The rest they were driving around the capital killing time to attend the venue. Once again the bad habit doesn’t change.

The opening set, set the standards high enough from the beginning of the party, and it was by some of the top dj’s of the island, Michael Angelo & Solo on a b2b set, and of course Anthony 642 (”the legend was back”). The guys definitely did it again spinning some of the latest and not only in Trance and Progressive, setting up the party mood high enough preparing the people for Roger Shah.

Cyprus clubbers have to be very proud and respect that our own local djs have the opportunity to show their skills with worldwide recognized artists, and for once they have to arrive early and enjoy the party from the beginning.

With more and more people showing their presence into the club, still they were not the expected amount of people, the guys continued to rock the floor and Mr. Shah was preparing his equipment (Macbook + M-audio Synthesizer) for a live act with his own trademark name “Music for Balearic People”

Roger Pierre Shah is listed one of the best trance dj’s and producers in Germany, with his own unique style in the global music scene. His productions are taking a world wide respect and recognition, with projects like Sunlounger, Purple Mood and Global Experience, Roger Shah has impressed audiences and established by the global trance community. His popularity came up when his track ‘Sunlounger - White Sand’ was featured on ‘A State Of Trance 2006′ compilation.

The man is responsible for productions like Sunlounger feat. Zara - Lost, Dj Shah feat. Adrina Thorpe - Back to you, San antonio harbour - romantic avenue, Purple mood - chinese theatre, Global Experience - koengen, Sunlounger - sunny tales, Dj Shah feat. inger hansen - don’t wake me up, Dj Shah - songbook, Armin Van Buuren & Dj Shah feat. Chris Jones - Going Wrong, Oceanlab - sky falls down (Dj Shah Remix), Sunlounger & zara - crawling, Dj Shah feat. Adrina Thorpe - who will find me, Purple Mood - one night in tokyo, Global Experience - madras/malaysia, Sunlounger - another day on the terrace and many many more……….

What describes the music style and performance from Roger Shah @ club Bling, was a mixture of styles. Trancy, tribal beats, melodic sounds in combination with piano (live from his synthesizer), and presented to us his own unique style. He mixed a variety of tracks purely made on the chores of Trance, which drove us on a magical journey above the skies. All these unique melodies and styles, are what we can describe as the Sounds of Sunlounger with Music for Balearic People.

The low unexpected attendance was due to the fact that a lot of the clubbers they were out of town (most of the them in Limassol) for the carnival. They attended the party around 300 people, which is a very small amount. The trance fanatics they didn’t show their face either, and of course a lot of friends (purist trancers), mentioned that a lot of people it was hanging out on other carnival parties, either in Limassol or Nicosia. To shame for that quality/excellent performance from Roger Shah, although the people that they attended the event definitely they will not forget that night.

As my final thoughts i want to congratulate Angelsounds agency, for the excellent event organization, and despite the low attendance, music wise the party was 100% successful.
